Description botanique

La Menthe poivrée est un hybride naturel (Mentha aquatica × Mentha spicata) très aromatique, prisé pour ses propriétés médicinales puissantes.

Tiges : Quadrangulaires, souvent teintées de rougeâtre ou de violacé.
Feuilles : Vert foncé, ovales, dentées, à nervures marquées.
Fleurs : Groupées en épis terminaux courts, de couleur violacée.
Odeur : Très forte, poivrée et pénétrante, riche en menthol.

Répartition et habitat

Cultivée dans le monde entier, elle préfère les climats tempérés et est présente dans les jardins d'herbes aromatiques au Maroc.

Utilisations & Applications

Médicinal : Antispasmodique, facilite la digestion, soulage les nausées et le syndrome de l'intestin irritable.
Alimentaire : Thés, infusions, aromatisation de sirops et desserts.
Cosmétique : Huile essentielle utilisée pour son effet rafraîchissant.

Importance écologique

Hybride stérile, se multiplie végétativement.
Peut devenir envahissante par ses stolons.

Exposition: Soleil ou mi-ombre.
Type de sol: Riche, frais et bien drainé.
Arrosage: Régulier, maintenir le sol légèrement humide.

L'huile essentielle de menthe poivrée est contre-indiquée chez la femme enceinte, allaitante, et les enfants de moins de 6 ans.

الوصف النباتي

النعناع الفلفلي هو هجين طبيعي مابين النعناع المائي والنعناع المدبب، ذو رائحة قوية جداً ويُقدر لخصائصه الطبية.

السيقان : رباعية الزوايا، غالباً ما تميل إلى اللون الأحمر أو البنفسجي.
الأوراق : خضراء داكنة، بيضاوية، مسننة، وذات عروق بارزة.
الأزهار : مجمعة في سنابل نهائية قصيرة، ذات لون بنفسجي.
الرائحة : قوية جداً، تشبه الفلفل ونفاذة، غنية بالمنثول.

الانتشار والبيئة

يُزرع في جميع أنحاء العالم، ويفضل المناخات المعتدلة، ويتواجد في حدائق الأعشاب العطرية في المغرب.

الاستعمالات والتطبيقات

طبي: مضاد للتشنج، يسهل الهضم، يخفف الغثيان ومتلازمة القولون العصبي.
الغذائية: الشاي، النقيع، تنكيه المشروبات والحلويات.
تجميلي: يُستخدم زيته العطري لتأثيره المنعش.

الأهمية البيئية

هجين عقيم، يتكاثر خضرياً.
يمكن أن يصبح غازياً بسبب جذوره الزاحفة.

ظروف الزراعة

التعرض: مشمس أو نصف ظل.
نوع التربة: غنية، باردة وجيدة الصرف.
الري: منتظم، يجب الحفاظ على التربة رطبة قليلاً.

الزيت العطري للنعناع الفلفلي ممنوع على الحوامل والمرضعات والأطفال دون سن 6 سنوات.
